I have over 13 years of teaching experience in international curricula, with a strong focus on Chemistry in the IB Diploma Programme for the past 10 years.
My expertise lies in guiding students through both HL and SL Chemistry, simplifying complex concepts through analogies and real-life applications. I have successfully mentored multiple IBDP cohorts, achieving consistently high results with my students’ average scores well above the IB world average.
In addition to content delivery, I emphasize building strong inquiry and critical-thinking skills. This approach ensures students are well-prepared not only for their exams but also for higher education and research opportunities.
In my previous roles as Head of Science and IBDP Coordinator, I also gained extensive experience in curriculum development, supporting internal assessments, and fostering a collaborative learning environment among teachers and students.
Alongside classroom teaching, I have extensive experience providing online and one-to-one tutoring for IB Chemistry. Over the years, I’ve worked with students across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, tailoring my approach to meet their individual needs.
My tutoring style begins with diagnostics to first identify a student’s strengths and weaknesses. From there, I build a structured learning path. I integrate past papers, examiner reports, and Kognity resources to help students master both content and crucial exam techniques.
I have also guided numerous students through their Internal Assessments (IAs), helping them formulate strong research questions, structure methodologies, and refine their analysis. As a testament to this, several of my students’ IAs have been recognized as exemplary. Many of my tutees have gone on to achieve scores of 6s and 7s, with some pursuing STEM degrees at leading universities.
My online sessions are designed to be dynamic and engaging. I utilize interactive platforms, digital whiteboards, and simulations to make abstract chemistry concepts accessible. My approach is defined by flexibility, clarity, and a strong focus on achieving results.
