Reviews
I have over 16 years of teaching experience in international curricula, including 12 years in IBDP. I’ve taught Biology, ESS, and TOK in six different countries across Asia and Europe. My teaching philosophy is to connect with students by bringing real-life and live examples of the natural world into my lessons. This approach helps students deeply grasp and retain concepts, enabling them to excel in their IBDP exams. In addition to teaching, I have also served in various leadership roles such as Head of Science, TOK Coordinator, EE Coordinator, Academic Director, and Curriculum Coordinator for Science. I also contributed to the Curriculum Review for the IBDP Biology 2023.
My extensive experience in the IBDP allows me to provide specialized tutoring. I’ve been an IB Examiner for Biology and Extended Essay since 2012, marking over 200 exam scripts and 90-150 Extended Essays annually. This role has given me a crucial understanding of what the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) expects from students’ written work, and it helps me prepare them by highlighting common mistakes. My prolonged engagement with the IB system allows me to uphold and instill the IB philosophy in my students, ensuring they are well-prepared for their exams and beyond.
