I am an experienced multilingual (MLL) / English as an Additional Language (EAL) specialist and international educator with over 10 years of teaching expertise across the IB continuum. My work centres on empowering multilingual learners through inclusive, research-based pedagogy, with a particular focus on translanguaging practices that value students’ full linguistic repertoires and foster equity in international classrooms.
In the IBDP, I have taught English B at Higher Level, guiding students from disadvantaged backgrounds and limited English to develop academic language, critical analysis and exam strategies. My approach balances language acquisition with the intellectual demands of the DP, ensuring students can confidently tackle Paper 1 and Paper 2, as well as the Individual Oral. I also support extended essay writing by scaffolding research and academic writing skills. With a strong record of helping multilingual learners succeed, I create tailored strategies that build confidence and prepare students for both assessments and university-level study.
